This is a good example of a manicure that has a very straightforward pattern, but looks like an intricate design to any other person. The only thing I did was putting layers of dots over a base colour: I started with painting my nails with Essie’s Ruffles & Feathers (drool, by the way…), then added the outer rim of dots (Sally Hansen – White On) to mark the edge of my design. I was actually planning for the half-circle to go the other way (like a half moon mani), but I think I like it this way even better!
After that, I put turquoise dots over the row of white ones, thereby covering half of them, to create the illusion of lace. Then, I just filled up the empty space towards my cuticles with a lot of single and double dots. Easy, right?
